Facecard Facelift FAQs

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

As you all know, Facecard has undergone a Facelift. The Facelift has enabled Facecard to bring you features such as new card designs, enhanced parental controls, and improved direct deposit functionality. In order to become a part of the new and improved Facecard, we ask all of our members to register for a new card at www.facecard.com.

In order for our members to have a seamless transition to the new Facecard please note the following frequently asked questions:

When will my original Facecard be retired?
Your original Facecard will no longer be valid for use past July 31, 2009. At that time you will no longer be able to make purchases or withdraw cash from ATMs with your original Facecard.  If you have not registered for your new Facecard at this time all funds on your original Facecard account will be refunded to you by check sent to your address on file.

When will card loads to my current Facecard stop being accepted?
You and/or others will not be able to load funds onto your Facecard effective June 30, 2009.  You will still be able to make purchases and withdraw cash from ATMs up until July 31, 2009.

What about the funds that are on my old Facecard?
You can either spend the remaining balance on your Facecard before July 31st or you can transfer your balance from your old Facecard to your new Facecard.

If you would like to transfer funds from your old Facecard to your new Facecard, please email us at info@facecard.com and a Member Services representative will assist you. Please note you must have at least $10 on your card to be able to transfer funds.

What if I have recurring loads set up on my original Facecard?
If you have recurring loads set to your current Facecard they will end on June 30, 2009.

What if I have direct deposit set up on my original Facecard?
If you have direct deposit set to your card account you must change this before July 17, 2009.  Once you activate your new Facecard please fill out the new Direct Deposit form at
www.facecard.com and give it to your appropriate payroll manager.

What if I am registered as a secondary account holder?
If you are registered as a secondary card account holder and you are under the age of 18 you will need your parent or guardian to register as a Parent Account Holder at
www.facecard.com.  If you are currently a primary card account holder you will want to sign up for the Parent/Teen account first and then sign up your Teen card account.

Why am I having problems logging into my account?

If you have not registered for a new Facecard on www.facecard.com, you will not be able to log into the new site. In order to access your online dashboard, please go to http://members.facecard.com. You may login into your original Facecard account (http://members.facecard.com) to view your card account history up to October 31, 2009.

I received an error message saying that my Facecard registration could not be completed. What do I do now?

If you are an existing Facecard member and are registering for a new Facecard, please send an email to info@facecard.com with your name and batch ID. A Member Services Representative will assist you in completing the registration process.

If you are a new Facecard member and received the message, please follow the instructions listed on the email. Please email info@facecard.com if you have any questions.

If you have any further questions please contact us at 1-877-435-4123 or visit us at www.facecard.com.

The New Card Colors are In

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

Thank you to everyone who responded to the “If your Facecard could be any color, what would you want it to be?” We tallied the votes and the two most requested colors were pink and black. The new cards are available now!

We entered everyone who suggested a color into a random drawing for $100 and I’m proud to announce that Maggie Torpie was the lucky Facecard member selected. Congratulations, Maggie!
