Pay before you pump to avoid a $75 hold
Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010Pay-at-the-pump transactions automatically place a $75 hold on your account until the settlement occurs. This period of time may take twenty four to forty-eight hours, where after the $75 is refunded and the actual purchase amount is applied. This is a MasterCard® regulation which takes place on every MasterCard product. In order to avoid the $75 pre-authorization charge, simply pay before you pump in the store.
